Local success as Scuderia Praha Ferrari wins Hankook 12H EPILOG BRNO

After twelve hours of racing at the Automotodrom Brno, Matteo Malucelli was first across the finish line in the Scuderia Praha Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 (#11, Jiri Pisarik/Jaromir Jirik/Matteo Malucelli/Peter Kox) and thus claimed victory in the Hankook 12H EPILOG BRNO, the final round of the 2015 24H SERIES powered by Hankook. In total, the Italian and his team-mates completed 324 laps of the 5.403 kilometres long circuit. They had an advantage of one lap seconds on the Ram Racing Mercedes-Benz. (#30, Tom Onslow-Cole/Paul White/Thomas Jäger). Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 teams also locked out the rest of the top five, with SPS automotive performance (#33, Valentin Pierburg/Lance David Arnold/Alex Müller) in third place, Hofor Racing (#10, Kenneth Heyer/Christiaan Frankenhout/Sebastian Asch/Chantal Kroll/Michael Kroll) fourth and HP Racing (#2, Nico Bastian/Markus Weege/Hubert Haupt/Carsten Tilke) fifth. With this result, Swiss lady racer Chantal Kroll also wrapped up the overall drivers’ title in the 2015 24H SERIES powered by Hankook, having already secured the Ladies’ Cup in the previous round at Barcelona. The Memac Ogilvy Duel Racing team from the United Arab Emirates with brothers Ramzi, Nabil and Sami Moutran and Phil Quaife won the overall teams’ title.

Matteo Malucelli puts Scuderia Praha Ferrari on pole for Hankook 12H EPILOG BRNO

BRNO (9 October, 2015) – In a qualifying session that remained thrilling until the very end, Italian driver Matteo Malucelli secured success for Czech team Scuderia Praha as he put the team’s Ferrari 458 (#11, Jiri Pisarik/Jaromir Jirik/Matteo Malucelli/Peter Kox) on pole position for tomorrow’s Hankook 12H EPILOG BRNO, the season finale of the 2015 24H SERIES powered by Hankook. Malucelli’s fastest lap time of 2:00.918 minutes gave him an advantage of 0.397 seconds on German Thomas Jäger, who qualified the Ram Racing entry (#30, Tom Onslow-Cole/Paul White/Thomas Jäger) as the fastest of the seven Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 cars in the field in second place. Mercedes-Benz teams lock out the second row of the grid, with Dutch driver Christiaan Frankenhout third-fastest with the best of the two Hofor Racing gullwings (#10, Kenneth Heyer/Christiaan Frankenhout/Sebastian Asch/Chantal Kroll/Michael Kroll) and German Lance David Arnold fourth with the SPS automotive performance Mercedes-Benz (#33, Valentin Pierburg/Lance David Arnold/Alex Müller).

Bangkok – B-Quik Racing is pleased to announce its return to Sepang International Circuit in December to compete in the prestigious Sepang 12 Hours for the second consecutive year with Henk J. Kiks, Daniel Bilski and Peter Kox driving our Audi R8 LMS Cup.
 
The biggest endurance race in South East Asia, the Sepang 12 Hours was the scene last year of B-Quik Racing’s first ever long distance race participation and the runners up position in the GTC Class was a great debut reward for the team. Even more so as our Audi was fully rebuilt with a new chassis in just 10 days before the event while we in fact led the majority of the race laps and grittily fought back into contention several times after multiple technical issues had sent the car into the garage for lengthy periods.
