Nico Pronk and Peter started with their Mclaren 650S run under the Kox Racing banner at the first round for the GT Open championship at Paul Ricard.
After the 12 HR of Abu Dhabi this was the second outing the pair did with the beautiful livered new Mclaren.
The first race on saturday they came home in 10th place, the second on the sunday was a little disappointing as Nico had to make an unscheduled extra stop to change the steering wheel.
After a partnership of 15 years, Dutch race driver Peter Kox has decided to end his co-operation with German company, Reiter Engineering. “Together, we have had great results, but now, the time has come to move on,” Kox says. The German team and the Dutch driver were closely involved in the development and construction of various Lamborghini competition cars over the years.
Also at these test days Stéphane Ratel, ceo of the S.R.O. Group took delivery of his Murcielago GT1 car that was raced by Kox in the 2010 FIA GT 1 World Championship.
At the end of the first day Peter did a 'roll out' to check of the car, immaculately prepared by Reiter Engineering, was ok to hand over to 'Mr. GT'.
