Driver change for Blancpain Sprint Series at Zolder
For the second race weekend of the 2015 season in the Blancpain Sprint Series Reiter Engineering is putting together a new driver duo for the Gallardo GT3 Extenso. Peter Kox will return to the team that we worked for many years as developing, test and factory driver for the race in Zolder, Belgium. The Dutchman will share the cockpit of the R-EX with Albert von Thurn und Taxis.
Peter Kox and Albert von Thurn und Taxis already teamed up successfully in the past. In the ADAC GT Masters they were the runner-up in 2007 in drivers championship and eventually won the championship in 2010.
Kox is replacing Nick Catsburg at Zolder, who was cleared by Reiter Engineering for the next race of the WTCC in Moscow which will be held on the same weekend as the Blancpain Sprint Series at Zolder.
“Despite Peter being strongly engaged in his own motorsports projects he has agreed to driver for us in Zolder”, says team principal Hans Reiter thankfully about the return of Peter Kox to the Reiter Engineering team. “
Peter knows the Gallardo better then anybody else so we can hope for a successful weekend in the Blancpain Sprint Series.”
