Marc A. Hayek and Peter Kox to contest Blancpain Sprint Series and ADAC GT Masters
• Participation in Blancpain Sprint Series and in ADAC GT Masters
• Both drivers continue racing in the Lamborghini Gallardo
A few weeks ago, Swiss Marc A. Hayek (President and CEO of Blancpain) was back at the wheel of a race car at Paul Ricard HTTT in Le Castellet (South of France) for the first time in almost nine months. He used the official Blancpain Sprint Series test days there to make himself familiar with the Lamborghini Gallardo again.
Together with Dutch race driver Peter Kox, Marc A. Hayek will battle it out for championship points in this season's GT races. The Spa 24 Hours, part of the Blancpain Endurance Series, in July 2013 was their last race at the wheel of a Lamborghini.
The two drivers were actually the first team to register for the Blancpain GT Series last November. The first race of this series will take place in Nogaro, France at the Easter weekend (April 19th to 21st, 2014).
Hayek and Kox will also participate in the ADAC GT Masters series. The Swiss won the title in the Gentlemen classification of the 2011 ADAC GT Masters and intends to build on his success this year. The GT Masters season will kick off at etropolis Motorsportarena Oschersleben (DEU) from April 25th to 27th, 2014.
Marc A. Hayek and Peter Kox will continue to rely on their successful Lamborghini Gallardo FL2 in both series.
